Elektra Natchios, the daughter of a Greek ambassador, studied the martial arts as an adolescent. While in the US with her father, she began studies in political science at New York's Columbia University. There she met another student, Matthew Murdock, who would later become Daredevil. Murdock revealed to her that he had superhuman senses that compensated for his blindness, and they fell in love. A year later, Elektra and her father were held hostage by terrorists in a building on campus. Wearing a scarf as a mask, Murdock with Elektra's help defeated the terrorists. However, a policeman mistook Elektra's father for one of the terrorists and shot him dead. Emotionally shattered, Elektra decided she no longer believed in the law and wanted to withdraw from the world. She left America and Murdock.She eventually studied martial arts with a sensei in Japan. She left to join the secret organization of martial artists headed by Stick, who was also Murdock's sensei. She spent a year in Stick's order and greatly developed her martial arts skills. But, Stick asked her to leave the group because she was still filled with pain over her father's death and hatred for the world she blamed for it.Elektra spent years as a bounty hunter and assassin for hire. While working in New York City, she crossed paths with Daredevil, whom she discovered was Matt Murdock, her old love. Daredevil vehemently opposed her activities, but the two still cared deeply for one another. They fought the Hand together, but then Elektra was hired by Wilson Fisk, the alleged Kingpin-of-Crime, as his chief assassin. In this role she fought Daredevil and was ordered to kill Matt's best friend and law partner, Franklin "Foggy" Nelson. However, she could not go through with the assassination when Foggy recognized her as "Matt's girl, Elektra." Soon afterwards, she fought and was killed by the Kingpin's former chief assassin, Bullseye, who sought to reclaim his former position with the Kingpin. Elektra died in Matt Murdock's arms, seeming lost forever.

Supervising the trial of an experimental gamma bomb for the U.S. Defense Department at a nuclear research facility in New Mexico, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner selflessly rushed to the rescue of an ignorant teenager who had wandered onto the testing field as the countdown ticked inexorably toward zero. After shoving young Rick Jones to safety in a nearby ditch, Banner was struck full-force by the bomb blast. He survived, but was irradiated by the deadly gamma energy. For a short time, Banner successfully treated his condition with radiation and was able to maintain enough of his own personality when he became the Hulk to control himself in that form. Subsequently, he helped found the Avengers and even received a presidential pardon. Ultimately, however, the Hulk reverted into a brutish menace. Gamma-powered psychiatrist Leonard "Doc" Samsoncaptured the Hulk and successfully separated Banner and his alter ego. Without Banner's psyche to restrain him, the Hulk became a greater danger than ever before. Realizing there was only one way to reign in the Hulk, Banner agreed to merge with the monster. But the stress of the re-integration fractured Banner's subconscious, creating the street-smart gray Hulk. During this time, he spent several years in Las Vegas, sometimes operating as an enforcer calling himself Mr. Fixit (or "Joe Fixit.") The smart-mouth Fixit was an ill-tempered, wise-cracking, thuggish brute whose personality resembled that of his father and the fraternity boys who surrounded him in college. It was also at this time that Joe Fixit began his a short-lived relationship with the future wife of Rick Jones, Marlo Chandler. In this state of the Hulk, Banner again found himself changing into the Hulk at night and into his human form in the light of the day.

Iron Man, like knights of old, is identified by the armor he wears. The best-dressed of the Marvel heroes, he has changed his look frequently since his debut in 1963, but he can afford to: the man who wears the suits (and designs them) is wealthy inventor Tony Stark. So the man make the clothes, but do the clothes make the man?Not only does Tony Stark have no super powers of his own, but the armor that gives him strength was also created to keep his damaged heart beating; he could not survive without his iron shell. Eventually his cardiac condition was corrected by a heart transplant, and a later that left him paralyzed was repaired with a microchip. So even without his high-tech costume Tony Stark is a mixture of man and machine, what science fiction writers call a cyborg.Exactly who Stark might be without his armor is difficult to say. Writer Stan Lee and artist Don Heck initially presented him as a suave playboy, part of a long tradition of rich men who have become masked heroes. Yet unlike most of his predecessors, Stark got his income from a specific source: he manufactured and sold weapons. This was a slightly sinister occupation, despite its undoubted utility, and there were hints that Stark was ambivalent about his role. When his business was menaced by a hostile takeover in a 1979 storyline, he collapsed into alcoholism, and a friend was obliged to take over temporarily the job of Iron Man. So the suit an function without Stark, but can Stark function without the suit?Stark publicly proclaims that Iron Man is his bodyguard, and to avoid prosecution for his own violence he once announced that the man in the suit had died and been replaced. He might have been talking about himself, since he is empowered by machinery and sustained by another man's heart. Beneath his polished veneer, Iron Man may be the most troubled of Marvel's heroes, forever fighting to prove that his armor is not hollow.

Magneto was born Max Eisenhardt sometime in the late 1920s to a middle class German Jewish family whose father, Jakob Eisenhardt was a highly decorated World War I veteran.^[1] Surviving discrimination and hardship during the Nazi rise to power, Kristallnacht, and the passing of the Nuremberg Laws, in 1939 Max and his family fled to Poland where they were captured during the German invasion of Poland and sent to the Warsaw Ghetto. Max and his family escape the Ghetto, only to be betrayed and captured again. His Mother, Father, and Sister were executed and buried in a mass grave, but Max survived possibly due to the manifestation of his powers. Escaping from the mass grave, he is ultimately captured yet again and sent to Auschwitz, where he eventually becomes a Sonderkommando. While at Auschwitz, Eisenhardt reunites with a Roma girl named Magda, with whom he had fallen in love when he was younger, and with whom he escapes the prison camp during the October 7th 1944 revolt. Following the war, he and Magda move to the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia, and adopts the name "Magnus". Magda and Magnus have a daughter named Anya, and live uneventfully until one night when a angry mob burned their home down with Anya still inside. Enraged at the mob preventing him from rescuing Anya, the young Magneto's powers manifest uncontrollably, killing the mob and destroying a part of the city. Magda, terrified at Magneto's power, leaves him and later dies giving birth to the mutant twins Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. Wanted by the authorities for the deaths and destruction in Vinnytsia, while searching for Magda, Magnus paid a Romanian forger George Odekirk, to create the cover identity of "Erik Lehnsherr the Sinte gypsy" for him.^[7]

"Erik", relocated to Israel, where he met and befriended Charles Xavier while working at a psychiatric hospital near Haifa. There, lengthy debates are held by the two regarding the consequences humanity faces with the rise of mutants, though neither reveals to the other that they both in fact possessed mutant powers. However, they are forced to reveal their inherent abilities to one another, while facing Baron Von Strucker and HYDRA. Following the battle, Erik (now dressed as Magneto) leaves, realizing that his and Xavier's views are incompatible, with a cache of hidden Nazi gold, which provided him with the financing to launch his goals.

As shown in the 2001-2002 miniseries Origin, Wolverine was born as James Howlett in late 19th century Alberta, Canada to rich plantation owners.The character grows into manhood on a mining colony in Northern British Columbia, adopting the name "Logan."^[22] Logan leaves the colony and lives for a time in the wilderness among wolves, until returning to civilization, residing with the Blackfoot Indians. Following the death of his Blackfoot paramour, Silver Fox, he is ushered into a Canadian military unit. Logan then spends some time in Madripoor, before settling in Japan, where he marries Itsu and has a son, Daken.During World War II, Logan serves in the Devil's Brigade and teams up with Captain America and continues a career as a soldier-of-fortune/adventurer. Logan then serves with the First Canadian Parachute Battalion^[23] during D-Day and the CIA before being recruited by Team X, a black ops unit.As a member of Team X, Logan is given false memory implants. He continues on the team, until he is able to break free of the mental control and joins the Canadian Defense Ministry. Logan is subsequently kidnapped by the Weapon X program, where he remained captive and experimented on, until he escapes, as shown in Barry Windsor-Smith's "Weapon X" storyline which ran in Marvel Comics Presents. It is during his imprisonment byWeapon X that he has unbreakable adamantium forcibly fused onto his bones.Logan is eventually discovered by James and Heather Hudson, who help him recover his humanity. Following his recovery, Logan, this time under the supervision of Department H, once again works as an intelligence operative for the Canadian government. Logan becomes Wolverine, one of Canada's first superheroes. In his first mission, he is dispatched to stop the destruction caused by a brawl between the Hulk and the Wendigo. Later on, Professor Charles Xavier recruits Wolverine to a new team of X-Men. Disillusioned with his Canadian intelligence work and intrigued by Xavier's offer, Logan resigns from Department H. It was later revealed, however, that Professor X had wiped Logan's memories and forced him to join the X-Men after Wolverine was sent to assassinate Xavier.In X-Men #25 (1993), at the culmination of the "Fatal Attractions" crossover, the supervillain Magneto forcibly removes the adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton. This massive trauma causes his healing factor to burn out and also leads to the discovery that his claws are actually bone. Wolverine leaves the X-Men for a time, embarking on a series of adventures during which his healing factor returns, greatly increased in speed and efficiency (due to the fact that the adamantium in his bones used a considerable amount of his healing factor on a constant basis). After his return to the X-Men, Cable's son Genesis kidnaps Wolverine and attempts to re-bond adamantium to his skeleton. This is unsuccessful and causes Wolverine's mutation to accelerate out of control. He is temporarily changed into a semi-sentient beast-like form in which he gains greater physical power than ever before, at the price of part of his humanity. Eventually, the villain Apocalypse captures Wolverine, brainwashes him into becoming the Horseman Death, and successfully re-bonds adamantium to his skeleton. Wolverine overcomes Apocalypse's programming and returns to the X-Men.In 2005, author Brian Michael Bendis had Wolverine join the Avengers. After the miniseries House of M, Wolverine regains his memories and prepares to seek out and enact vengeance on those who wronged him. In Wolverine: Origins, the character's second solo series, Wolverine discovers that he has a son named Daken who has been brainwashed and made a living weapon by the villain Romulus, the man behind Wolverine's own brainwashing. Wolverine then makes it his mission to rescue Daken and stop Romulus from manipulating or harming anyone again.During the events of the Messiah Complex storyline Cyclops orders Wolverine to reform X-Force. Since then Wolverine and the team, initially consisting of X-23, Warpath and Wolfsbane, have starred in a new monthly title. Currently the team is featured in the Messiah War storyline that is a sequel to Messiah Complex.In 2008, the writer Mark Millar and artist Steve McNiven explored a possible future for Wolverine in an eight-issue story arc entitled "Old Man Logan" that debuted with Wolverine #66. Millar, the writer for the story, said, "It's The Dark Knight Returns for Wolverine, essentially. The big, wide, show-stopping series that plays around with the most popular Marvel character of the last forty years, a dystopian vision of the Marvel Universe and a unique look at their futures. Mystique is a mutant shapeshifter with the ability to psionically shift the formation of her biological cells at will to change her appearance and thereby assume the form of other humans. She can also alter her voice to duplicate exactly that of another person. Originally, it was clearly stated that Mystique's powers were limited to appearances only; she could not assume the powers of the people she morphed into or alter her body to adapt to different situations. In addition, she could not change her overall body mass when taking on the appearance of a person larger or smaller than she is.

Her body is not limited to purely organic appearances. She has the ability to create the appearance of clothes out of her own body. Mystique was shown in at least one instance transforming a metallic part of her costume into a functioning blaster pistol. Whether this was a function of her powers or of the costume piece itself is unclear. She can transform part of her body into a separated, clear and hard substance that appears to be glass, as she does when she appears to be wearing glasses.

As a side effect of this power, her natural aging process has been suppressed (if not completely halted), as she has retained her youthful appearance despite being alive for over one hundred years.

This changed in 2001's X-Men Forever miniseries, in which Mystique was exposed to dangerous levels of radiation in order to save the life of Toad. The process morphed Mystique's appearance to match her more reptilian physique from the 2000's film trilogy, and boosted her powers so that she could now morph her body into taking certain desired physical traits depending on her situation at the time. Examples of this new ability include night vision, wings on her back, talons in her fingers, and natural body armor. She can even compress nearly two-dimensional like a sheet of paper to glide on air currents, similar to Mister Fantastic, which she uses to survive an explosion.^[62] She has moved her vital organs out of place in order to survive a gunshot to her torso. She has, once with strain, given herself two heads and four arms to facilitate a gun fight on two fronts, as well as shapeshifted into herself as a child.

Damage to her biological tissue is known to heal at a relatively fast rate and she can form a resistance to poisons upon contracting them. Recently she has stated that her body mass is not fixed and can change when she does.^[63] While she retained her advanced powers, she now appears in her old form without scales. Her powers grant her immunity to diseases, agelessness^[64], and enhanced agility.

Mystique is a cunning strategist in terrorist and commando operations, and adept at martial arts and information technology. She has a talent for finding, stealing and understanding cutting edge weaponry. She is a talented actress. She has some natural resistance to telepathic intrusion and wears devices to prevent her mind from being read by telepathy.

The Amazons, so the story went, were a matriarchal society whose women fought as well or better than any of their rivals around the ancient world. When William Moulton Marston created a female comic-book hero to appear alongside DC Comics mainstays Superman and Batman, he borrowed from that myth to create Wonder Woman.In the DC universe, the Amazons reside on a hidden island (called Paradise Island before the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and Themyscira afterwards). Diana, daughter of their queen Hippolyta, is their strongest warrior, sent to make contact with the outside world and serve as Themyscira’s ambassador to human society.Her powers, granted to her by the Greek gods and heroes, run the gamut from flight and super-strength to the ability to commune with nature and communicate with animals. She’s also often had an invisible aircraft at her disposal, although it has a few different origins depending on which story you’re reading.Her overarching mission has occasionally put her at odds with her long-time allies in the Justice League of America. Heroes like Superman and Batman have always seen themselves, to one degree or another, as protectors of an established order. Diana is a warrior, not a protector, and in a long-term sense her mission has often involved upsetting the apple cart, to one degree or another. She is also ready to kill her foes under certain circumstances, a line most of her fellow heroes have never been willing to cross.

Darth Vader was the Sith title given to Anakin Skywalker by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine after he embraced the dark side in 19 BBY after struggling against its grip for several years. Palpatine lured Anakin to the dark side when he promised to protect his wife, Padmé Amidala, from the death Skywalker had foreseen for her in his dreams. Skywalker buried all good in himself and, at the command of his new master, led the 501st Legion to the Jedi Temple, killing every single Jedi inside, including the younglings.
The personalities became further distinct when Anakin suffered great physical and emotional damage that completely changed his appearance and character. As Darth Vader, Anakin became a powerful asset to the fledgling Empire, serving as an enforcer, Jedi hunter, Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet, and general Executor of Palpatine's will.

Yoda was one of the most renowned and powerful Jedi Masters in galactic history, who was known for his legendary wisdom, mastery of the Force and skills in lightsaber combat. Yoda served as a member of the Jedi High Council in the last centuries of the Galactic Republic and reigned as Grand Master of the Jedi Order before, during and after the devastating Clone Wars. Following the Battle of Geonosis Yoda held the title of Master of the Order in addition to that of Grand Master. In his centuries of service to the galaxy and the Force, Grand Master Yoda had a hand in the training of near to all the Jedi in the Order, including such luminaries as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Oppo Rancisis; all of which would come to serve on the Jedi Council along with him.

Though Yoda was, arguably, the most highly Force-attuned member of the Order, he was not flawless. It was partially due to his failure to recognize that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was actually responsible for the outbreak of the Clone Wars, and was in fact the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, that the Republic was overthrown and the Jedi Order decimated. The Grand Master was among the few Jedi to survive Emperor Palpatine's Great Jedi Purge, after the beginning of which, he went into exile on the swamp planet of Dagobah.
Later, before becoming one with the Force in 4 ABY, the exiled Jedi Master was responsible for the instruction of Luke Skywalker who would use Yoda's training as a basis for the creation of a New Jedi Order, after defeating the Sith. Following his death, Master Yoda retained his identity within the Force and was revered as among the most legendary Jedi Master's of all time by Skywalker's reconstituted Order.

Altair is a master assassin, and part of the Hashshashin sect. Over the course of the game he kills nine key men who are involved in a conspiracy to tear apart the holy land. The game is set in 1191, during the third crusade and takes place in the cities: Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus. Altair travels to these cities on a black horse, and kills his victims with a variety of weapons. While his face is always hidden, he is recognizable by his distinctive white outfit.

He is not a man of religion, but a spiritual person, probably because his mother is Christian, and his father Muslim. He is a skilled assassin, capable of near superhuman acrobatic feats, made possible only by years of rigorous training. He also gets more skilled over the course of the game, getting access to more weapons and equipment as the game progresses. One of the developers of Assassins Creed, Jade Raymond, stated that Altair can do around 800 different moves in the game, but won't be able to take more than one hit to the head, unlike many other video games, which contributes to the realism of the game.

With the ability to run on walls, swing off poles, jump and flip, and much, much more, the Prince of Persia has had a fairly hearty career. With his first appearance in 1989, the Prince has seen several adventures becoming the veteran hero.

Making an explosive return, this young lad was subject to a complete overhaul, but it was for the best. Armed with a mystical blade that could command the Sands of Time, the prince could now can slow, stop and even reverse the flow of time to their advantage. Wield several different powerful swords and do battle with magical enemies on your mission to restore order to ancient Persia.
Prince, as it turns out, is not the cliche hero. He has his own agenda. He's proud, if not conceited. He wants to please his father. And it's this ambition that starts all of the trouble. The game begins in medieval Persia shortly after the Prince and the king have defeated the Maharajah and looted his palace. When the Prince takes a mysterious dagger he accidentally unleashes the Sands of Time, an evil force that infests the kingdom and transforms its inhabitants into demonic beings. The character's quest is, ultimately, to set right his own stupid mistake and reverse the dark magic.

Megatron is the founder of the Decepticon uprising, and their most well-known and feared leader. As a young, charismatic leader forged in battle and the heritage of war, he began to believe in a grand purpose for his race—it is the Transformers' glorious destiny to rule an empire which will span the universe. The opposite of his mortal enemy Optimus Prime, he feels great contempt for other Transformers who, he feels, betray their proud heritage by demanding peace and cooperation with weaker life forms. It is the destiny of the Decepticons to bring order to the universe through conquest, though in the millions of years since coining this purpose it remains to be seen how much of his mission statement is altruistic... and how much of it is mere words built to fuel warriors to further his desire for personal power.

Megatron will attempt almost anything to achieve his goals, but his schemes are rarely in any way subtle. This is perhaps due to his arrogance, but his pride is not so strong as to dissuade him from abandoning a battle he is losing. Some would question his sanity, though these few are mostly now dead by his hands...or his Fusion cannon, depending on his mood. Sometimes he uses his energon mace to strike them down. It does not matter how they die. Death by the hands of Megatron is an honor.

Optimus Prime Bio

Optimus Prime is the awe-inspiring leader of the Autobot forces. Originally a civilian, he was chosen by the Matrix to command, the first in a number of heavy burdens he has been forced to bear. Another is his bringing of the Transformers' conflict to Earth. The complete opposite of his mortal enemy Megatron, every casualty, human or Cybertronian, weighs heavily on his spark. He does not show this side to his soldiers, and he never succumbs to despair. The Autobots need a decisive, charismatic leader, and that is what he gives them. It was that leadership which turned the tide of the Great War.

On the battlefield, there are few who rival Optimus Prime's prowess. His ion blaster and his energon-axe are deadly weapons, though lacking when compared to others. He is easily the strongest of any Autobot his size, and what he lacks in raw firepower he easily compensates with guts. He would sacrifice his life to protect his fellow Autobots or those under their care, and has on a few occasions. His compassion for other sentient beings is his only real weakness, and one the Decepticons have taken advantage of time and again... though it's also the source of his strength!

Spider-Man is the quintessential Marvel character. Although a super hero, he is spared none of the slings and arrows of ordinary life he experiences difficulties with friends, family, sweethearts and employers. His powers enable him to do good, but not to improve his own lot in life, and it is his simple humanity, rather than his exotic talent, that has won him millions of enthusiastic fans. He is one super-hero who has not lost the common touch, and in fact he is frequently described as "your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." In his 1962 debut, Spider-Man took to fighting crime for a reason commonplace in comc books: he was motivated by the murder of a father figure, his Uncle Ben. Yet Spidey's driving force is guilt, not revenge;he must live forever with the knowledge that he could have prevented the killing if he had not been so self absorbed. Perhaps he suffers from a classic Oedipus complex; in any case he is certainly neurotic, forever agonizing over the choices that confront him when he attempts to do the right thing. Despite his best efforts, he is viewed with a touch of suspicion by those in authority, and is sometimes considered little more than a criminal himself. Although nobody seems to understand him, Spider-Man has the spirit to be a joker as well as a tragic figure. He is quick with a quip, appreciates the irony of his endless predicaments, and relishes the chance to play tricks on people who never suspect that he and Peter Parker are one and the same.

Sephiroth first appeared in the 1997 Playstation game “Final Fantasy VII”, one that is still considered to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Evil to his core, but contended and cool about it Sephiroth makes for one of the most compelling and fan-beloved antagonists in a videogame ever. He has since appeared in numerouw instalments expanidng the FFVII universe and exploring further aspects of its characters.
Sephiroth was born 30 years before the events that take place in the game to Professor Hojo and Lucrecia Crescent, in Nibelheim. Before Sephiroth's birth, Hojo and Lucrecia were working as assistants to Professor Gast, Shinra's top scientist, on the Jenova Project. The project studied the remains of an extra-terrestrial entity known as Jenova, which was mistakenly thought to be one of the Cetra, an ancient people of the world that the game takes place in.
Hojo injected cell samples from Jenova into the pregnant Lucrecia. Lucrecia then carried Sephiroth to term, his fetal form merging with the cells of Jenova as it developed.
Sephiroth was raised to be a super-soldier, due to his special genetic make-up and he eventually became the first SOLDIER, an elite combat group controlled by Shinra, the company that seems to control most of the game’s world, subsequently completing a number of various missions for them.
In what would become his final mission, Sephiroth, unaware as of yet about his identity, was ordered to inspect the Mako Reactor outside the town of Nibelheim on September 22, 0002. He enters with a small entourage, consisting of one other member of SOLDIER and a few Shinra MPs. Among this group was SOLDIER 1st Class member Zack and his friend, a 16-year-old Shinra trooper named Cloud Strife. At the reactor, Sephiroth found several pod-like chambers containing monstrous creatures, apparently former humans, possibly mutated by injection with Jenova cells and exposure to Mako. Deeper inside, he found a larger chamber labeled "JENOVA", which contained a very strange feminine-looking creature. When Zack suggests a connection between SOLDIER and the creatures in the tanks, Sephiroth flies into a rage.
Deeply disturbed by the fact that the creature had the same name as his "mother" and by the idea that he himself might have been created in an experiment similar to the one that created the monsters in the pods, Sephiroth made his way to the mansion that had been occupied by Shinra researchers and began reading the research notes that were located in the basement library. As a result of what he learned, Sephiroth became enraged and psychotic. Based on the Shinra reports, he came to believe that Jenova was a Cetra (An ancient race of wise people that lived on the planet millenia before the game’s timeline) , and therefore that he himself, Jenova's "son", was the last survivor of the Cetra. He also believed that the human race had betrayed the Cetra 2,000 years earlier, leaving them alone to defend the Planet from a calamity it had faced (eventually revealed to have been Jenova itself), and resolved to take vengeance for his "ancestors".
Later Sephiroth proceeded to destroy Nibelhei, setting the town to the flame, before returning to the reactor to claim Jenova's remains. He is followed by Tifa, Zack, and Cloud. At the reactor, Tifa takes up Sephiroth's
Due to Sephiroth's enhanced anatomy, however, he survived Cloud's assault, though wounded greatly. As Cloud left him to tend to Tifa, Sephiroth sliced off Jenova's head and stumbled from the room. Cloud attacks him again with rage, but Sephiroth stabs him with the Masamune. Cloud summons unknown strength and uses the sword as a lever, hurling Sephiroth into a pool of Mako below the reactor.
Following this, Shinra sealed the records on Sephiroth and rebuilt Nibelheim in order to cover up the incident, populating it with Shinra employees paid to act as the town's citizens. However, the renegade SOLDIER survived the plunge, and spent the next few years traveling the Lifestream, learning the secrets of the Ancients. In particular, Sephiroth learned of the Black Materia, which could call the ultimate black magic, Meteor. Sephiroth eventually came to rest in the Northern Crater, the site of Jenova's landing 2,000 years ago. Crystallized in Mako to increase his powers, Sephiroth would remain in hibernation for some time, using his new found influence over Jenova to act through her.
Hojo meanwhile decided to make use of the surviving residents of Nibelheim, and so commissioned them against their wills to take part in an experiment that would hopefully prove his Jenova Reunion Theory, a theory that states that when Jenova's cells are separated, they will seek to rejoin each other. Hojo injected the survivors with Mako and Jenova cells, dubbing them "Sephiroth Clones". Cloud and Zack were two of Hojo's subjects for this experiment, and they would spend the next four years as his prisoners in the Shinra Mansion of Nibelheim. Shortly before the main events of Final Fantasy VII begin, Zack broke free and took the semi-comatose Cloud with him. At some time in 0007, the call of the Reunion began to go out, and the Sephiroth clones began making their way toward the Northern Crater to join with Sephiroth.
Approximately five years after his supposed death, Sephiroth enacted his plan to find the Black Materia. Jenova's remains, which had been moved to Shinra Headquarters<, took on Sephiroth's form and broke out of containment. Jenova/Sephiroth then released Cloud and the members of AVALANCHE, who were being held prisoner, and killed President Shinra. Sephiroth subsequently began searching for clues to the location of the Black Materia. Cloud, seeing Sephiroth's Masamune left at the scene of President Shinra's death, suspects he may be alive and sets out with AVALANCHE to find him and settle the score for what happened to Nibelheim.
The party first sees Sephiroth on the Cargo Ship, where he alludes to the Jenova Reunion. He also appears some time later in Nibelheim, where he again mentions the Reunion. When Cloud and his allies discover that Sephiroth is tracking down the Black Materia, they go to the Temple of the Ancients to acquire it first. There they again find Sephiroth, who tells them the full extent of his plans - the Planet relies on the Lifestream to heal itself when wounded. Using the Black Materia, Sephiroth plans to use it to call Meteor to strike the Planet, causing another large wound. Sephiroth would then place himself at the center of this wound, merging with the Lifestream and taking control of it, becoming a God ruling over the Planet.
Cloud succeeds in acquiring the Black Materia, but Sephiroth exerts his influence over Jenova's cells and takes control of Cloud, who hands the Materia over to Jenova. At this time Aeris Gainsborough, the true last survivor of the Cetra, tried to use the White Materia given to her by her mother to summon the force called Holy, the only power able to counter Meteor. During her attempt to call forth this Ultimate White Magic, Sephiroth fell from above and impaled her with his sword, killing the flower girl. Though Aeris had successfully called Holy, it was now being held back within the Planet by Sephiroth, preventing it from moving with his will as augmented by Jenova's power. Cloud and his allies continued tracking Sephiroth to the Northern Crater.
At the crater, Cloud kills Jenova in Sephiroth's form and reclaims the Black Materia. Shortly after, Sephiroth's true body is seen in its Mako cocoon, and Sephiroth's mental manipulations of Cloud's weakened mind take their toll. Believing himself nothing more than a cluster of Jenova cells who had taken on the memories of a boy named "Cloud" and the deceased Zack, Cloud delivers the Black Materia to Sephiroth, who uses it. The crater collapses, and Cloud's allies are forced to flee with Rufus Shinra to escape. Sephiroth unleashes the Weapons from their sleep and erects an energy barrier over the crater to keep them from detecting him.

With the Weapons causing chaos and keeping his enemies from rallying against him, Sephiroth began shapeshifting his body into a form befitting a God, awaiting the arrival of Meteor. Cloud was eventually recovered by his allies, and they received unlikely assistance from Shinra. They later fired the massive Mako cannon known as the Sister Ray at the Northern Crater, piercing Sephiroth's barrier and allowing Cloud and his allies to enter the crater and find Sephiroth.
Descending into the crater, they eventually find Sephiroth at the Planet's core, blocking Holy from stopping Meteor as it began its impact. After they dispatched Sephiroth's larva-like "Bizarro Sephiroth" form, Sephiroth emerged from it, almost entirely transformed into his ultimate form, an angelic being with seven wings. Cloud and his allies destroyed Sephiroth, but his mind endured. Pulling Cloud into the Lifestream for a final mental battle, Sephiroth attempted to take control of his mind again, but Cloud's mental defenses had grown, and he defeated Sephiroth. Battered and bloody, Sephiroth dissolved into the Lifestream, seemingly destroyed.
Sephiroth has long platinum hair and bright cyan eyes with cat-like pupils, and is portrayed in a black coat decorated with metallic pauldrons. In the Kingdom Hearts series, he has a black angel wing on his back.
His weapon, the Masamune, which has been featured in numerous Final Fantasy titles, is a long sword, and it is said that it can only be wielded by Sephiroth. He usually uses his left hand predominantly when wielding his weapon with one arm.
He is also know as "One-Winged Angel. Go figure.

Drizzt was born as the third son to Malice Do'Urden (the then Matron Mother of House Do'Urden) and was originally meant to be sacrificed to Lolth (the usual fate of the third son of any house), but was spared minutes before he was born, as his oldest brother had been assassinated by his second-oldest brother, Dinin, and thus making him the second living son and not the third. His father, Zaknafein, was the renowned Weapons Master of House Do'Urden and secretly hated drow society as a whole. He taught Drizzt the way of the blade, and more importantly, taught him a moral code.
Drizzt left Menzoberranzan in search of a better life, and eventually found his way to the surface after time alone in the wilds of the Underdark and a sojourn with the Deep Gnomes. Most people he met treated him with hatred and disgust, leaving only the most open-minded and open-hearted people to accept him. One of these people was Montolio Debrouchee (Mooshie).

Drizzt was taught the ways of the ranger from Mooshie, a blind human, and Drizzt realized he had followed these ways all of his life. From this time on, he made his matron goddess Mielikki, Faerûnian goddess of the forest and of rangers.
After the death of his mentor, Drizzt eventually found himself in Icewind Dale in search for a new home. There he met some of his best friends: Bruenor Battlehammer, Catti-Brie, Wulfgar, and Regis. Fantastical adventures with his friends led him back south to Mithril Hall, where he currently resides.
Thoughtful and sensitive to others, Drizzt holds himself to the highest ideals but does not expect the same of others. Ever alert for treachery and danger, he speaks little but is apt to be polite (if terse) in his dealings. A perfectionist who yearns to be accepted into places and groups and to make friends widely, Drizzt is haunted by the danger he brings to those he befriends thanks to the scrutiny of the clerics of Lolth and his other foes (notably the demon Errtu and the human assassin Artemis Entreri). Those he meets perceive him as having a grim manner.
Early in his surface travels, Alustriel Silverhand welcomed him as warmly and personally as she does all in need, but dared not let him openly into Silverymoon at that time. His deeds have, very slowly, made Drizzt Do'Urden more welcome in the Sword Coast North.
Thrice in his life, Drizzt had regressed into a bestial and instinctive state of mind in which he was identified as the Hunter. The first time this happened was after Drizzt had fled from Menzoberranzan and was living in the wilds of the Underdark The second was when he went back to his homeland to prevent harm from coming to his friends in the book "Starless Night". The third time was during the war with King Obould Many Arrows and his horde of orcs. Drizzt had thought Bruenor dead, and wasn't certain if his other friends were alive. When Drizzt is the Hunter, he reaches his physical apex, his skills honed to their utmost peak. His scimitars are like extensions of his own arms, and his senses are heightened beyond their normal capacity.
As a dark elf, Drizzt is innately able to summon globes of darkness at will in an area or attached to a target. Because he is a drow noble, he can also summon a harmless "faerie fire", which outlines a target, making it easier to spot. At one time, he had the ability to levitate, but the sunlight destroyed the magic of his House sigil which enabled this feat, and he gradually lost this ability. He can, however, still adjust his eyes to the infrared spectrum, allowing him to see in the dark. His agility and fighting prowess are legendary, and many have described his movements as too fast to follow with the eye, drow or human.

Hitsugaya is the Captain of the 10th Division and is a distinctively young-looking boy with white hair. He is one of the youngest ever to reach the rank of Captain and is often regarded as a genius. Despite his young age, Hitsugaya has a serious and mature personality.

Hitsugaya’s Zanpakuto is a powerful water-ice based weapon called Hyorinmaru. In its sealed state, Hyorinmaru looks like a normal katana which Hitsugaya carries on his back. The release command for the Shikai state is “sit upon the frosted Heavens” which causes a crescent shaped blade to appear that attaches to the hilt of the Zanpakutou by a chain. Through slashes of his sword, Hitsugaya can release waves of freezing ice and water which takes the form of a dragon. Anything that comes into contact with it has that part of their body frozen, after which the ice quickly spreads to engulf the victim. Hitsugaya’s water-ice attacks are far more intense in his Bankai form and allow him to freeze enemies to the very core, to the point where they can be shattered to pieces.

He also seems to refrain from killing a person unless necessary, twice sparing Ichigo and proclaiming he would not harm Orihime because he had not been ordered to. He can replay events he has seen to others by removing and crushing his left eye, which then turns into dust and flows around those Ulquiorra is relaying information to.Ulquiorra is a firm believer in absolute materialism and has stated that what his eye cannot see does not exist. The name and released state of Ulquiorra's zanpakutō have not been revealed. Aizen leaves Ulquiorra command over Las Noches when he invades the false Karakura Town. Ichigo arrives there to recover Orihime, and Ulquiorra engages him in battle, drawing his zanpakutō in the process.

These ambitions under the shadow of his trauma and the endless admiration showered upon him had largely forged his character: arrogant, even-minded, apathetic to human inquiry and fixated on revenge at all costs. It is not until his prolonged exposure to Naruto's comradeship that this disposition changes.

He is a very loyal and protective person and has come to the aid of his friends on several occasions. He mostly remains optimistic regardless of what his situation is because of his vow to Mana Walker to keep moving forward and not give up. Allen Walker is kindhearted and treasures all life - vowing to save both humans and Akuma as long as he lives. He also has a "black" personality - deceptive, arrogant, and no mercy - which is usually shown when he is playing card-games or remembers about the debts left by Cross. This personality, a polar contrast to his usual behaviors, led many to wonder what Cross had done to him.

Big Daddies are genetically-enhanced human beings who have had their skin and organs grafted into an enormous diving suit. The candidates also go through voice box modulation and pheromone application. This pheromone is what attracts the Little Sisters to the Big Daddies. They are then injected with a plasmid that effectively turns them into mindless drones. With gene-splicing, the humans inside the suits were given enhanced strength and agility. They are able to lift heavy weights with ease, seeing as their suits are made mostly of steel and various other machinery to keep them alive during their duties, which include resisting pressure six miles beneath the ocean. Big Daddies are sometimes assigned and outfitted to do other constructive tasks around Rapture. Big Daddies have been seen doing repairs and other maintenance tasks both inside and directly outside the city.

The Big Daddy was the brainchild of Dr. Yi Suchong. Knowing that the Little Sisters would be at great risk if they were out on the streets gathering ADAM with no protection, Suchong sought to rectify the problem. With much trepidation, he presented his idea to Andrew Ryan. Knowing that becoming a Big Daddy would be a "one-way street", Suchong fretted about finding suitable candidates, despite Ryan's assurances that it would not be a problem. Although the true identities of the candidates are unknown, it is probable that they are either criminals, supporters of Atlas, victims of Ryan's mind control pheromones, or mutated little boys (as there aren't any seen in Rapture, yet children are present).
Big Daddies communicate by haunting sounds similar to that of a whale's call. For easier interpretation, lights were added to the helmet to display what state of intention the Big Daddy is in. Big Daddy helmets have three light colors: green indicates the Big Daddy is hypnotized and friendly, yellow indicates awareness of but indifference to his environment, and red indicates hostility and a state of combat

Ryu has the demeanor and wisdom of a man far older than himself, due to his prolific lineage and mantle of station as a respected ninja. His exploits have given him an attitude far removed from most others, and he understands things in more abstract and philosophical terms. Much like Gen Fu and Eliot (Dead or Alive), he adopts a tranquil nature, much akin to water; free flowing most of the time, but unforgiving and crushing when roused. Through the Dead or Alive tournament, he has extricated himself from many of the subplots involving other characters, concentrating instead purely on the larger goals that present themselves.

He is Hayate's best friend and an ally of Kasumi and Ayane. He and his ninja brethren have been direct players in the defeat of every major threat in the D.O.A. tournaments, himself defeating the rogue Tengu in single combat during the second tournament. Ryu has befriended several people from the DOA tournaments, notably Jann Lee, who he shares a mutual respect with.

Majin Buu (Djinn Buu) Bio

Although he is one of the most powerful entities in Dragon Ball Z, Majin Buu is often playful and childish, revealing he destroys things for fun simply from old instructions from his master, stopping once told what he was doing was wrong. Though he is playful and silly, his evil side is readily apparent, especially shown when his eyes widen and steam shoots out of the holes on his body. He finds enjoyment in taking the lives of many and shows no remorse, though this is because he treats everything as a game.
In battle he fights in a bullying manner, using his immense size to outflank his opponent. Despite the pleasure he takes in mass-murder, it is later revealed that he only committed such acts because he was unaware of their immorality, and because he had been commanded to do so by Babidi, and Bibidi before him. The Daikaioh's presence is more influential in this form than in Super Buu, who is mostly evil and is influenced very little by the Kai. He literally struggles with the evil inside himself, with the evil winning and usurping near complete control, Majin Buu becoming far more dangerous as a result. Buu also possessed an enormous appetite for sweets, shown to far exceed even Goku's eating habits, as Buu was still hungry after he once turned a whole city of people into candy and ate them. He was extremely naive, as he was completely ignorant of Hercule's (inept) attempts to kill him, as well as the fact that Bibidi and Babidi were using him.

Goku is the One of the last Saiyans in the universe, Goku is the most powerful fighter of all. Though many people say Brolly is the Legendary Super Saiyan, but I doubt it. I believe its Goku. He is the only one to reach all the true Saiyan forms(Mystic is not a true Saiyan form), and at most points in DBZGT is the most powerful being in the universe. He is the hero throughout all three series, and is the very first Z fighter to go Super Saiyan(Brolly preceded him). He has a wife named Chi-Chi, who is the Earth's most powerful female until her daughter-in-law Videl, and then Gohans and her daughter, Pan. He has two sons named Gohan and Goten, who both go Super Saiyan. He was originally sent to void Earth of life, but the crash caused him to forget his mission. He was trained by his adoptive grandfather, Gohan, Master Roshi, Korin, Kami, King Kai, and of course, his toughest master is himself. He constantly trains, and is usually the first to introduce a new Saiyan form.
He trained his son Gohan to become the most powerful being in the universe at the time. He has a pure heart, and has a very happy-go-lucky personality. He's not terribly bright, sensitive, or anything that requires a fair amount of brain power. He has an insatiable appetite, and can eat just about his body weight in rice. But when it comes to fighting, he is a master. He never hesitates to die for others, as he saved everybodys life in the Cell Games by teleporting Cell to King Kais, dying to defeat Raditz, and giving his life to save Android 18s and Krillins life in GT. In all, Goku is the most important Z fighter.

A person of the sky Ener ate the "Goro Goro" Devil Fruit, which gives him the power of electricity. After destroying his homeland. Ener journeyed with an army of followers to Skypiea. He quickly overthrew the former god Gan Forr, and became ruler of Skypiea. Ener's army consists of a large militia of goat men (think sacrificial goats) lead by Yama the militia captain. He also has 4 priests who guard the sacred upper yard of Skypiea where Ener resides. They are Ohm,Shura,Gedatsu,and Satori and they scout the rain forests of upper yard for intruders who they impose trials on.

Ener has a goal of reaching the "fairy Vearth" a place where there's endless Vearth. (Vearth is Earth as in soil. Which is pretty neat when you live in clouds) To this end Ener is constructing a flying ship: MAXIM (using Gan Forr's followers as slave labor) to reach it. Ener has the ability to sense peoples actions from far off using his Mantra, this way he can also sense peoples actions before they do them(very handy in a fight). When any citizen of Skypiea goes against him he can blow them away with blasts of electricity from far away. as such the Skypieans fear Gods judgement. In battle, Ener is a force to be reckoned with. He uses zaps of immense amounts of volts to fry his opponents, often making the bolts form animal shapes. He also wields a triton and the ability to use alchemy. He has two ultimate attacks. First is the "Raigoh" where he makes an immense ball of concentrated electricity that can destroy large land masses. The second is his Thunder God form where his entire body becomes one big concentration of lightning.

Roronoa Zoro Bio

Roronoa Zoro is probably the most physically strong member of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew and is also one of the two most serious members of the crew.He is extremely skilled with swords, being able to use 3 at one time, a style known as 'Santoryu'. While fighting, he usually takes the bandana which he keeps tied around his left arm off and ties it around his head.

Zoro's origin was in a small village with a dojo for teaching sword skills. His reason for learning 3 swords was in attempts to beat his rival, a girl named Kuina. After one particular battle, they made a promise that one would become the greatest swords master of all. Unfortuanely, before this promise could be carried out, Kuina died after falling down a flight of stairs. Zoro vowed, in her honor, to carry out his end of their promise and become the greatest swordsman ever.

Hatake Kakashi Bio

Kakashi is the Konohagakure Jounin assigned in the beginning of the manga and anime to train and look after Team 7, including Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura. He is also known as Copy Ninja Kakashi or Kakashi of the Sharingan.These aliases refer to the fact he copied more than a thousand jutsu (ninja techniques) using his left eye, which possesses the Sharingan, an advanced bloodline trait found only in some members of the nearly defunct Uchiha clan. However, he is not a real Uchiha, and in fact receives the Sharingan eye from a dying Uchiha Obito, his teammate, during his first mission as a Jōnin. During that mission, Kakashi injured his left eye in a battle trying to protect Obito, leaving behind the scar. He is, an exceptionally skillful ninja, a child prodigy who attained Chuunin rank at the age of 6 and became a Jounin at age 13. His father was Hatake Sakumo, known as the "White Fang" of Konoha and a genius ninja on par with the Legendary Sannin (famous students of the Sandaime Hokage : Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade).

Starting today, we will be posting the bios along with a couple of images of each and every one of the 64 characters that will face each other in the epic (?) battle to come.
The first post was about Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece Grand Battle and more are to follow in the days to come. When the bios are all up and we are satisfied by the looks and working of the blog, the polls will open and we’ll begin.

Monkey D. Luffy Bio

The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy comes from Fuschia Town. He had the highest bounty in East Blue at 30 million Belli after his defeat of Arlong, but the bounty increased to 100 million Belli after he defeated Shichibukai member Sir Crocodile, and again to 300 million Belli (on level with the Shichibukai members) after defeating Rob Lucci of CP9, the destructions of Enies Lobby and declaring war on the World Government.
Luffy is the son of Monkey D. Dragon, brother to Portgas D. Ace, and the grandson of vice-admiral Monkey D. Garp.

Luffy is the captain and strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He currently holds the highest bounty of any pirate from the East Blue. In his present journey, he has defeated extremely powerful foes, such as Sir Crocodile, Enel and Rob Lucci, as noted by his extremely high bounty of 300,000,000 Beli.
Many times he has survived severe injuries and massive bl ood loss. His skills, developed by the hellish training he was subjected to as a child by his grandfather, are backed up by his unstoppable determination, making him nearly impossible to keep down during a fight. However, it also seems possible that he naturally has superhuman strength since all members of his family are incredibly strong, and Luffy himself is never seen training on the ship like Zoro. Luffy is capable of crushing steel with his bare fingers and breaking through thick bedrock with relative ease. His most astonishing feat of strength by far was causing two huge buildings he was stuck in between to collapse by simply pushing them away with his bare hands.
Though seemingly dimwitted, Luffy is quite ingenious when it comes to combat and has shown great adaptability. For example, he figured out how to counter Enel's Mantra, found out Crocodile's vulnerability to water, and later learned Soru just from seeing it in action. Luffy is constantly developing new attacks to keep up with his foes, the most dramatic development being Gears 2 and 3 because of his loss to Aokiji.
Luffy gained stretching powers from eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi, which is one of the rare and legendary Devil Fruits. After consuming the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Luffy's body became rubber, giving him the ability to stretch every single part of his body to great lengths. He is able to use the malleable stretchiness of his limbs to gain tremendous velocity and hit enemies with devast ating impact. His rubber body is virtually immune to recoil from these attacks, and blunt objects such as punches, and even bullets, reflect off him harmlessly. Being rubber, Luffy also resists electricity, which gave him an advantage while fighting Enel. However, he is still very susceptible to sharp objects such as swords, but still has more resistance than normal flesh and bone. Luffy can also be hurt by physical attacks if they are powered with an emotion, as demonstrated by his grandfather and Nami. Like all Devil Fruit users, Luffy cannot swim, although he could not swim even before he ate his Devil Fruit anyway.
Due to the fact that Luffy hates missing his meal while asleep (especially after a battle) he developed an ability to eat while sleeping, as well as being able to figure out in less than a second how many meals he has missed if unconscious for a period of time (counting five meals each day). These traits also seem to be common with Luffy's family, as seen with his brother Portgas D. Ace and his grandfather.

Luffy is renowned for wearing his trademark Straw Hat (in which he gets his nickname 'Straw Hat Luffy' from) which was given to him when he was young by the legendary pirate captain Red-Haired Shanks. His outfit includes short trousers and sandals, and a red vest. Luffy has a scar underneath his left eye, which he caused in order prove he is mature and is not afraid of pain and short black hair.

At first glance, Luffy does not appear to be very intelligent. However, because he views the world in a straightfoward and simple manner, he is occasionally the only person who can see past the events and see what should be done. He sees the world in a childish manner.

Although Luffy is fairly lightheaded and a funny character, he has an unstoppable sense of determination, optimism and commitment and will do anything to stand up for his friends and comrades. Luffy is simple-minded and can easily be amazed by the simplest things. He likes to make fun of other's imperfections and character traits, despite the fact that he is usually worse than them. Luffy seems to have an unstoppable appetite, a characteristic that is common to the Japanese archetype of the (at times simple-minded) young male hero/adventurer with a heart of gold; perhaps the hunger more so in Luffy's case. One comical scene involved him eating an entire wheelbarrow full of fruit in the blink of an eye, followed by Zoro and Sanji loudly dismissing the spectacle as some kind of trick. He also seems to have little to no fear, only truly fearing his grandfather to the point that he does not fight back and is intimidated at the mere mention of him. Along with that, he has great courage to back it up as well as unbelievable strength. Ever since consuming the devil fruit he was shown to be not worried about his inability to swim, much like his brother. An example of this is because when they are sailing he can usually be found on the bowsprit of the Going Merry, he calls this his "special seat" and is usually hanging off of it without minding the danger of falling overboard. Much of these traits are common among Ds.
Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and is best friends with all of them and values them over all else. They are all usually annoyed by his immaturity and stupidity but they all respect him for his qualities as a natural-born leader and his strength. All the members of the Straw Hat Pirates have complete faith and trust in Luffy, even if they often scold him for doing something thoughtless. Despite almost always being clueless and happy, in serious battles and whenever someone threatens his crew or if they are in danger he will become incredibly enraged and serious and gains a distinct killer instinct.
Luffy never kills any of the villains, no matter how cold-hearted they are; instead, he frequently sends the villain flying, knocking them out or until the point that they are almost near death, which results in some of the villains searching for revenge, such as Buggy the Clown and Alvida. Oda explains that it's not a question of morality so much as a matter of punishing the villains for their crimes - he feels that killing the villains lets them off too lightly, whereas he considers letting them live to see their dreams be ruined a far more fitting punishment.
Luffy's dream is to find the One Piece and become Pirate King. He knows that to achieve his goal, he will have to defeat many strong opponents, including the World Government and his childhood hero Shanks. He is not frightened by this, but anticipates the fight.

Also the origin of the word "Battle-theon" which we decided would be best for the contest, is a union of battle (obviously) and the Greek word πάνθεον (pantheon) which roughly means "all the gods".
